The Air Conditioning & Heating Specialists
Constructive Workspace
Royal College of Physicians, Regents Park, London
January 2009 – June 2009
£250,000.00
Constructive Workspace approached us to design a bespoke air conditioning system to complement the new office refurbishment for the back of house area at the Royal College of Physicians at the time cooled by an existing Daikin Water Chiller, approximately 25 years old. The client wanted a more user friendly, flexible and economic way to provide cooling and heating to their space.
We selected a Daikin VRV 111 (three-pipe) Heat Recovery System which allowed the flexibility of installing one system per phase of the refurbishment. Roundflow ceiling cassettes were selected for each of the office areas, and localised wall-mounted controllers installed to allow occupants individual control of each area. A Daikin packaged Water Chiller was selected to provide cooling to the new Comms Room APC Cooling Racks. Various Daikin Split Systems were also utilised for the Print Room and small Server Rooms.
Rightmove
Grafton House, Milton Keynes, Bucks
–
£41,000.00
The client occupied the top floor of Grafton House predominately a call centre which mainly consisted of an open plan office environment incorporating meeting and training rooms. The clients problem was an unacceptable build up of temperature in the space during warm periods.
We selected Fujitsu Inverter-driven above-the-ceiling ducted units, wall mounts and cassette type heat pump split systems to provide the cooling required to each of the areas on the floor. The client also had the option of using the split systems to boost the heating system if needed. The project was completed with minimum disruption to the client with some of the installation being carried out outside normal office hours.
Macmillan Cancer Support, London
March 2009 – July 2009
£120,000.00
This project required air conditioning to be installed on the 9th and 11th floors of the clients existing building. The particular challenge this posed was due to the unusual shape of the building and the fact that the client had no suspended ceilings.
We selected a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries VRF system for this application comprising ceiling cassette units. All of the services were installed within trunking and each cassette unit case was boxed in to be as aesthetically pleasing as possible.
Soho Square, London
£13,700.00
The client took possession of two floors of an existing office building in Soho Square, London and this incorporated their main IT Department. The client required cooling to the new Comms Room.
We selected Daikin Wall Mounted Split Systems for the application comprising three FAQ100 systems with Auto Changeover/Lead Lag Control Panel.
